Overview
P2 Secure Templates allow you to pre-configure file request and file sharing workflows in the Secure File Transport application. Templates streamline the process of collecting files from or sharing files with customers by establishing reusable configurations.
Creating a P2 Secure Template
Follow these steps to create a new P2 Secure Template:
-
Navigate to the Secure File Transport Application
-
Click on the Secure File Templates tab

Click Next
Template Configuration
-
Enter a Template Name according to your business requirement
-
Select the Object name on which the P2 Secure File Transport application is configured. For example, if the application is configured on the Contact object, select Contact for Object Name.
Using Dynamic Fields
You can use dynamic fields in templates to automatically populate customer information. Dynamic fields allow you to create more personalized and automated communications.
-
Select the field from the parent object in the Select Field dropdown
-
Copy the dynamic field reference and paste it in the Email Subject, Email Body, or SMS Message fields to automatically populate customer information
Note: Dynamic fields can only reference the parent object fields. Child object records cannot be used in dynamic fields.
Default Message
This is the welcome message displayed to end users when they first access the P2 Container (the secure file exchange environment). Use this to provide context or instructions for the file request or file sharing process.
Message Configuration
Configure the messages that will be displayed to users when they receive the file request:
-
SMS Message: The text message sent to users requesting files
-
Email Subject: The subject line of the email notification
-
Email Body: The main content of the email notification
You can use dynamic fields in any of these messages to automatically populate customer information.
