The TR CLEAR Monitor List feature enables organizations to continuously monitor individuals or businesses for newly published adverse media articles. Instead of performing one-time Adverse Media searches, Monitor Lists automatically track selected subjects and notify users when new relevant media content becomes available.
This feature supports ongoing due diligence, Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), fraud prevention, and compliance monitoring by keeping users informed of emerging risks.
What is a Monitor List?
A Monitor List is a collection of one or more individuals or businesses that Thomson Reuters CLEAR continuously monitors for newly published adverse media.
When a monitored subject matches newly published news or web content that meets the configured monitoring criteria, Thomson Reuters generates an alert. These alerts help organizations identify potential risks without manually performing repeated searches.

View Monitor List Details
Review all monitored subjects, configured keywords, topical categories, and monitoring settings for a selected monitor list.
Review Monitor Results
View newly published adverse media articles associated with monitored subjects and generate reports for further review.
How Monitoring Works
After a Monitor List is created, Thomson Reuters continuously evaluates newly published news and web content against the configured monitoring criteria.
When new articles match the monitored subjects:

Reports can be generated for individual articles when required.
Unlike a standard Adverse Media Search, monitoring is an ongoing process that continues until the monitor is updated or removed.
